SEM 1 SESSION 2014/2015
According to the Figure 1(a), a simply supported beam is subjected to uniform load, w at both
ends. While, Figure 1(b) shows the representative finite element model and Table 1 tabulates
material, loading and geometric properties of this beam. Determine:
1. The nodal displacements,
2. The elemental stresses, and
3. Compare the results in (1) and (2) using a LISA Finite Element Software.
