This shot allows the audience to make eye

contact with the main character Hanna, it


allows them to see her face of steel, she has no
hint of hesitance emotions on her face, this
shows that she is a natural at killing and shows
no remorse.

This shot hints at how powerful Hanna is to the
audience, it allows them to see that she is
better than the average person (i.e. the
audience) as the audience are a more
vulnerable level showing Hanna in a high angle.
She is also holding a gun, this makes the
audience feel vulnerable as if she is about to
hurt them, creating a huge build of tension.

audience to know that
Hanna although more
powerful than the average
human being in the
audience, she isnt as
powerful as her dad (as he
trained her). This is because
she is shown being told that
she would already be dead
this shows that he knows
more than her, also the
position in which the
characters are standing
promote this idea, as her
dad is above her, so
therefore his power is
higher.
This shot shows a group of
intimidating people all put in
one frame, you cant see a
way out, this will make the
audience feel trapped in and
vulnerable. The masks take
away the feeling the people
outside are normal and
creates the theme that they
are threatening.
