Activities of the Day / Period

The experiment we doing this week is the calibration process by using the Ionizing
Chamber. The objective is to determine the dose rate for each ionizing chamber. We have many
type of Ionizing Chamber, ex : WD 964 for working standard. Furthermore, different chamber
have different voltage and also we need to remove the caps of Ionizing Chamber for water
phantom but for air, necessary use the caps. Before start the experiment, it must radiate at least
30 minutes to makes the room are stable with the Ionazing Chamber
Moreover, we also had a talk from Nuclear Malaysia about Current Issues about
Nuclear Application. The title are Social Impact of Fukushima Nuclear Accident by Dr
Mohd Abdul Wahab Yusuf and also Loji Menproces Nadir Bumi Lynas by Khairuddin
Mohd Kontol.
