That students should feel a sense of community and belonging

both from their fellow students and from faculty.

That each child should be taught with patience and understanding.
That learning should be informative, interactive, and fun, as well as lead students
to be successful and well-rounded individuals.
That standards and expectations should stay high
no matter the behavior of the students.
That teaching should be done with enthusiasm and love for the profession.
