For fifth grade, we are doing Daily 3 due to time
limitations.

interesting words
Get started quickly, stay in one place, read the whole time,
increase stamina, and select good fit books

Writing in complete sentences to
respond to question.
Writing informative papers. Compare and
contrast, main idea, cause/effect or

Writing point of view papers. Giving evidence
to back up their point of view.
Parent Involvement
Read with your child.
Ask your child questions about what they have
read.
Make sure they are reading good-fit books.
Be a role model. You read in front of them.
Look over their work and discuss mistakes.
