Goal: During the 2014-2015 school year my goal is to lead students to become independent learners. I
plan to focus on making every instructional moment as enjoyable as possible for student success.
Students are expected to be willing to learn, be prompt and respectful at all times.
Course Description: The main focus of this course is to help the student transition from basic concepts
of arithmetic to higher order concepts of mathematics.
Differentiation: GT/Pre-ap students are expected to complete one test project per semester.

Attendance:
Student is expected to attend class every day! In order for student to learn and become successful
he/she MUST be in class. If student is absent it is his/her responsibility to ask the teacher for the
assignment, of the day of absence, once they have returned back to school.
Late/Make-Up Work:
Late work will not be accepted unless there is an acceptable reason.
Tardy Policy:
Being Tardy to class is UNACCEPTABLE! If student is tardy to class it will be documented. Parent will be
notified after the second tardy. Student will then be given lunch or after school detention.
Book Policy:
Parents can check out a set of book from the office. These books must be returned at the end of the
school year in order to clear.
Restroom Policy:
Restroom passes will ONLY be issued 15 minutes after the bell has rung and passes will be discontinued
the last 15 minutes of class. Student will be allowed 4 passes per six weeks period unless they have a
medical excuse by the doctor.
