Good: Industrial Revolution

The Industrial Revolution began around the 18th and 19th century in Britain. Britain was a good
place to start this because it had coal" to keep the machines working, iron to make machines.
Iron and steel became essential materials, used to make everything from appliances, tools and
machines, to ships, buildings ("Industrial Revolution.). In order to have factories filled with
machines, iron and steel were needed to make the tools and materials to be able to start a
business. It also had a stable society which means that there was never a war on their soil.
("Industrial Revolution."). Before this event started, most people resided in small, rural
communities where their daily existences revolved around farming ("Industrial Revolution.").
Living in a rural community was mainly based on farming. After the revolution started, many
people emigrated from rural communities to urban communities in hopes of finding jobs to be
able to make money. In 1850, Britain had more than 6,000 miles of railroad track ("Industrial
Revolution."). By having more railroad tracks, the people are able to transport goods and get
imported goods. It was a fast and cheaper way to receive goods. This also lead to the reason
why coal was needed. Coal was also used to fuel trains to be able to transport goods. This
historical event made the peoples lives easier.
