This flipped Spanish lesson plan involves students learning to conjugate regular AR verbs before class through a prerecorded PowerPoint lecture. The lecture will cover vocabulary of common AR verbs like hablar, tomar, and llegar and how to change the verb endings based on subject. In class, the teacher will have students complete a conjugation sheet, vocabulary sheet, and write sentences using the AR verbs to check their understanding before doing an activity practicing conjugating and using the verbs. The lesson addresses ACTFL standards about engaging in conversations and understanding language comparisons.

Content Standard(s) addressed by this flipped lesson:
ACTFL Standard 1.1: Students engage in conversations, provide and obtain information, express feelings and emotions, and exchange opinions. ACTFL Standard 4.1: Students demonstrate understanding of the nature of language through comparisons of the language studied and their own. Prerecorded Lecture What content do students need to know before class to successfully engage in the in-class activity (this will be your prerecorded lecture)? Students will need to know vocabulary of different regular AR Spanish verbs. Some of these verbs will include hablar, tomar, llegar, nadar, necesitar, viajar, esperar. (powepoint, smartboard, video?) I am going to use a powerpoint. I will have a pre-made power point and then I will draw on theat power point or use a laser and record my voice with it. After I record my voice I will save the powerpoint as a movie and upload it on Youtube.
