Radio Actuality Greeks For Alzheimers

Intro: This past week, two Greek Organizations from Kean University teamed up to
raise money and awareness for Alzheimers. The sisters of Theta Phi Alpha and the
brothers of Nu Delta Pi presented a showcase event where members of Greek Life
were able to perform their talents. There were also several speakers who spoke out
about their experiences with Alzheimers, including Nu Delta Pi brother, Isaiah
Sanders, who had lost his grandmother to the disease about six months ago.

Cue in: It affected me because I had a family member, my grandmother, she passed
away
Cue out: the person that is in there still loves you. Even if you dont think they
know it, or even if they dont know it, they do.

Aside from showcasing students talents, the event also provided a buffet with
delicious home cooked food and a PowerPoint presentation, given by the presidents
of both organizations, educated the audience all about Alzheimers.

Terrance Somesla-McCornell, another brother of Nu Delta Pi, took charge in

organizing the event and was astounded by the great turnout.

Cue in: This event was really successful, actually

Cue out: it was a really good turn out. Im really happy with everything.
