CHAPTER VI: judgement and decree

After trial in registration case, 3 actions are taken.


1. Adjudicates ownership in favor of one of the claimants. Constitutes the decision- the judgement - the decree
of the court, and speaks in a judicial manner.
2. The declaration of the court that the decree is final, ordering the Chief of the Land Registration Office to issue
the corresponding decree of registration. Such decision is made if within 30 days from the date of receipt of a copy of
the decision or judgement no appeal is taken therefrom.
3. Devolves upon the LRA which was created for the due effectuation and accomplishment of the laws relating
to the registration of land.
While a judgement may always be considered a decree, not all decrees are judgements.
