Dear Sir or Madam
I am looking for a position in 20th Century Fox as an assistant film director. Growing up with
movies, I have a strong attachment to the 20th Century Fox brand. I have a strong interest in
directing movies myself, however I yearn to first learn under the guidance of an experienced
director, in order to further build upon my understanding of film.
Throughout my school courses, I have developed an interest in dramatic arts and public
speaking. Presentations are common in the majority of my courses and I have developed an
aptitude towards speaking even in the presence of large audience. This was further built upon
during my Drama course, in which voice and movement was combined for the purposes of
entertaining an audience. I find immense comfort in performing in front of an audience, even if
others would consider it embarrassing or unconventional. I am also apt at the English Language,
having developed an interest in reading and writing since childhood. In semester 2 of Grade 9
2013, I obtained an award for the highest scoring student in English with a score of 90%.
As a team member, I have experience directing and leading an entire group. I would often be the
first to offer directions and objectives for the rest of my group to accomplish, particularly when
they themselves are unsure of their first step. Due to my natural aptitude for leadership, I am
often the director of most of my performance and film projects. My skills in English have
benefitted me when creating scripts, while my computer literacy granted me the ability to
quickly learn how to operate video editing software. During the creation of most of my film
assignments, I am usually assigned as not only the director, but also as the writer, video editor
and actor. My understanding of the process of creating films allows for more intensive planning
in regards to the other crew members. Having also viewed numerous movie reviews and
critiques, I have an understanding of the essential elements of film that an audience desires.
Having been exposed to multiple stressful situation throughout my courses, I am capable of
working through pressure and remaining focused.
I would be most grateful for any position that you may consider suitable for me. I am available
for an interview anytime starting January next year. Thank you for your time reading this and I

OBJECTIVE
