Job Summary:
The Post-Doctoral Fellow (Trainee) will research project to study the pathogenesis of Klebsiella
pneumonia.
Specific Responsibilities:
Helps design, set-up and conduct basic experiments while following protocols;
Analyzes and troubleshoots protocols and data obtained from individual experiments
together with the PI;
Maintains detailed records of results which may include collecting, extracting and entering
data;
Interprets, prepares and presents results;
Prepares data for presentations and publications;
Performs other duties as required or assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
A PhD;
Competence in basic molecular, biochemical and microbiology techniques including
bacterial cell culturing, cloning, PCR;
Scientific communications skills, including keeping detailed and accurate records of
experiments, preparation of reports and publications, and presentation of research findings.
Preferred Qualifications:
A PhD or equivalent with research experience in one or more of the following areas:
microbiology, molecular biology, bioinformatics, cell biology;
Experience in next-generation sequencing sample preparation;
Experience in bioinformatics;
Experience in mammalian models and regulatory procedures.
