Thrust is a force that is exerted on an object by the expulsion or acceleration of mass in one direction.

The thrust on the object will be equal in magnitude but in the opposite direction of the mass that is
expelled or accelerated. An example is when a rocket takes off in a vertical direction from a launch pad, it
expels exhaust gas in the negative y-direction, while the thrust is in the opposite direction of the exhaust.

Thrust is the force that propels an object in a given direction, especially when generated by the object
itself, as by an engine or rocket.

The force acting on an object perpendicular to the surface is called thrust. It is the net force in a particular
direction.

When a system expels or accelerates mass in one direction, the accelerated mass will
cause a force of equal magnitude but opposite direction on that system. The force
applied on a surface in a direction perpendicular or normal to the surface is
called thrust.
Thrust is a reaction force described quantitatively by Newton's second and third laws. When a system
expels or accelerates mass in one direction the accelerated mass will cause a proportional but opposite
force on that system.
