FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Driver Hannah Newhouse Participates in the 11th Annual NASCAR Drive for Diversity
HAMPTON, Va., Oct. 13, 2014 Driver Hannah Newhouse, along with 21 other multicultural and female
drivers, will be at Langley Speedway competing for a spot in the 2015 NASCAR Drive for Diversity (D4D)
Class on Oct. 13-15.

From the field of 83 drivers who applied for this years D4D Combine, 17-year-old Newhouse was thrilled
to accept the invitation to compete for her third consecutive year. The Boise State University freshman
of Twin Falls, Idaho, comes with many titles under her belt, including 2013 RMCS Rookie of the Year and
the youngest female to win a Whelen All-American race.

Another achievement Newhouse adds to her budding list is a recently minted partnership with Boise
State University. Not only will she attend the university, but shell also be driving with its colors. Boise
States logo B and the No. 46 worked into a new blue and orange color scheme now complement her
primary racing car, a Chevy Impala SS. Newhouse races in more events this year, including the NASCAR
K&N West Race in November. D4D, however, will be her most exciting race this fall.

NASCARs D4D program, combined with Max Siegels Rev Racing, is an excellent way for aspiring drivers,
such as Newhouse, to refine their performance. It also promotes the presence of female and
multicultural drivers in the industry, including drivers from the United States, Canada, and Latin
America. The winner of D4D is chosen after a three-day evaluation. Scripps Howard students will
participate with the prospective drivers in media relations and public relations activities at the school
and at Langley Speedway during the drivers stay in the area.
