My first year goals include improving my assessments and personalizing,

organizing my lessons. This is important to me because as a first year teacher I will
be assessing how well my lessons are and refelcting on how I can improve or
delete them from my curriculum. I want to also focus on organizing my classroom
and materials to benefit both my students and myself. During this first year I will
see the flow of my classroom and see what works as well. I want to create a perfect
space and I believe after the first year I will know what works. Lastly, I want to
continue focusing on how to engage my students. The first year of teachig will give
me a clear vision of what I need to focus on. Attending a conference on student
engangement will be beneficial to attend to receive more strategies to use.
My five years plan include receiving a Masters degree in High School
Counseling. I want to be a classroom teacher for a couple of years and then
transition into a counselor to help students, parents, and community on a one on
one basis. I would love to continue working for the same district as I belong to the
community. As a teacher I would like to become the organizer of the MECHA club.
I was part of this club myself as a high schools student and it taught me a lot about
my culture. A five year goal I have is becoming department chair of my Spanish

department. I want to include more vibrant, technology infused content into our
program.
Some professional organizations I would like to be part of are: MLA Modern
Language Association, ACTFL American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Language,
and ADFL Associated Department of Foreign Language
