Questionnaire

1.- What is your favourite Rock Genre?

Indie Rock

Rock and Roll

Punk Rock

As I already know my magazine will

be a focused on the Rock genre, I
decided to ask in my questionnaire
which specific Rock genre does the
public prefer in order to specialize
my magazine to an specific group in
the market, as Rock covers a very
general group of the population.
My results helped me discard the
Punk Rock genre, as a very reduced
group seemed to like it.

2.- What Types of promotions/gifts do you like the most?

The results of this question

facilitate the process when
choosing what to use to promote
the magazine and what are the gift
that majority of costumers would
prefer to see included in their
magazine and that would increase
their interest, therefor, the chance
of them buying the issue.

3.-What type of magazine do you prefer?

Informal
Formal

I felt this question was crucial to

include in my questionnaire, as it
will guide me when writing my
article as by knowing the
formality that the costumers
prefer I will know the language I
should.
By my results I know that
(possibly due to the specific age
targeted|) the public leans
towards informal articles rather
than formal.

4.- How is your attention easily drawn?

By vivid colours

By words (Tags)

Even though the majority of the public

asked expressed that vivid colours easily
draw their attention, the number of
people attracted by words instead is
relatively similar.
This indicates my magazine must have a
balanced mixture of vivid colours and
Tags must also be include in order to
attract more costumers.

5. What do you like better in an article?

16

14

Images

12

Balance of both

10

A lot of text

As expected, it is important to balance

the amount of images and texts in order
to have a well-presented piece, but this
numbers help me acknowledge that
images seem to be more effective with
the public than a lot of writing.

75% of people asked seem to attend

to concert or gigs, majority of them
regularly.
Yes
No
Sometimes

Promoting gigs and concerts related to

the genre of the magazine could be of
high interest to costumers and would
also link our magazine to big events,
this way gaining popularity and
costumer loyalty.

7.- Do you own cassettes or vinyls?

No

As shown by the results obtained by

my questionnaire cassettes and vinyls
seem to still be relatively popular as 12
out of 16 people questioned said they
do own some, even though most of
them when asked said that they do
not listen to them anymore.
Considering these numbers I know
that people do consider the old ways
of listen to music and are possibly
attached to them as they still keep
them.

New Style
A mixture of both

These results are considerably useful

as it proves to me that the decision
made of combining stages of the genre
can be interesting to costumers.

them.

the questionnaire are interested in
new music videos released and
watched them in sites like VEVO and

Information about Music videos will

certainly be of interest to readers. I
will consider interviews with artists
about their new/next releases and
maybe even promote them
