My name is Garrett Rodgers and I am writing to express my interest in a seven month internship
position at Winged Foot Golf Club. A chance to work at such an establishment would be a great
opportunity for me.
I am now attending Methodist University, majoring in Business Administration with a
concentration in Professional Golf Management. Working under you and your staff would
greatly broaden my education in the golf industry. I have learned a lot over the years in playing
in many national junior golf tournaments, and from working under Matthew Creech at The
Mayfield Sand Ridge Club.
Additionally, I have received golf swing and short game lessons from Top 100 golf instructors
Craig Harmon at the Oak Hill Country Club, and Mr. Ed Ibarguen at Duke University. Knowing
the basic swing fundamentals through my work with these two well-known instructors, I will be
able to apply those lessons to juniors at your club whenever the opportunity arises. Thank you
