    Vacuum casting and pressure casting are two types of permanent die casting processes that differ in how molten metal fills the mold cavity. In vacuum casting, a partial vacuum is used to draw molten metal from an induction furnace into the mold by reducing the air pressure. In pressure casting, pressurized gas forces molten metal upward and into the mold cavity where it solidifies under continued pressure until fully solidified.
