Proposal
Influence of Prohibition, WW1, Great Depression.
The three of these major American historical time periods took place between the years 1919-1941. The
Knowledge I currently know about these topics is on a surface level. I know that alcohol was illegal
during the time of probation. Bootlegging became a huge black market and the leaders of this
underground business became infamous.
World War 1 was a time of great increase in warfare technology. The Americans were victorious.
The Great Depression was a time where the American stock market crashed and a large portion of
Americans were out of work and poor.

What law was passed that ended prohibition?


What caused the government to make alcohol illegal?
How did the reign of big name bootleggers end?
What was the cause of WW1?
Which countries were on what side and what were they fighting for?
What was the final result of the war?
What occurred that led the American economy out of the depression?
How did the war influence the American people? In which ways did the average American play a role?
What were some daily struggles of Americans during the depression? How did families survive?
