Locations
During pre-production of our single camera drama we have given time and thought into
thinking about the perfect locations to shoot our single camera drama. We had recced our
locations to get a more in-depth feel to where we are going to shoot, we have done this
because we now know how the locations when shot can help create atmosphere and
emotion to certain scenes. We will be using these locations as we feel they are perfect for
our drama.

Demonfort University
Leicester College (Saint Margrets Campus)
Foss Meadows

There are limitations to where we can shoot because some locations we have to be granted
access to shoot there for example Demonfort University is secured and people use ID cards
to be recognised there so we need to make sure we are allowed in the buildings to shoot
also we need to make sure we have the visitor badges when shooting. Other limitations are
the distances we have to travel to shoot, we have been sensible and made sure all the
locations are in reach for all my group and the actors. Regular checks on the weather is
needed because some of the locations are outside and we need clear weather to shoot our
footage.
Risk assessment forms will need to be completed for the single camera drama and the
locations as we need to be prepared for all risks and hazards we may come across when
shooting the single camera drama. This document will highlight certain risks and how
hazards they are to people when they occur, on the document there is also a section to fill in
to show how to deal with the hazard if it occurs.
