The documentary Supersize Me is presented in a way that it represents the modern day American

an overweight and that the society has an issue with obesity perhaps due to the fast food
restaurants that serve the Americans.
Supersize Me is a documentary film produced, directed and written by Morgan Spurlock in 2004, this
immediately raises issues as a documentary so heavily influenced by one person can easily become
biased, the documentary also stars his girlfriend Alexandra Jamieson which shows the documentary
is more personal. Dont eat this book is a book released by Spurlock also, it is based on the same
subject as the documentary, since the book promotes the documentary and vice versa this is an
example of synergy that Spurlock may have used to make more money. Considering that the film
was produced, directed and written by Spurlock and also had his girlfriend involved and released the
book, it is very easy to see that his aim for the production of the documentary was money and
makes the representations of the Americans less trustworthy as they may be seen as a biased
stereotype.
