Attached drawings showed the conflict areas. The design team proposed modifying the footing design to allow a grade beam to straddle the DB without bearing any loads on it. Michael asked Dennis to review and advise if this modified design was acceptable so the team could proceed.

    Dennis:
    As a follow-up to our phone call today (and Jack's site visit on Friday), attached are a few marked up drawings from
    my construction docs showing the conflict areas between the column footing for the new pavilion and the existing DB.
    The design team is proposing to modify the design of the footing to allow a grade beam that would straddle the duct
    bank without bearing down any loads on the DB.
    Please review and advise if this is acceptable so that I can direct my team to proceed with the design modifications.
