Applications are invited from Indian citizens for admission to the Ph.D. programmes for the
session commencing from July, 2015, for final year students of CFTIs (Centrally Funded
Technical Institutes) who can apply without GATE and have a CPI of at least 7.5 for
B.Tech./BS and a CPI of at least 7.00 for M.Sc. Integrated. PhD admissions are offering by
following departments.
Ph.D (ENGINEERING): Biological Sciences & Bio-Engg * Computer Science & Engg *
Electrical * * Materials Science & Engineering
Ph.D. (SCIENCES): Chemistry
GENERAL INFORMATION: Financial aid (Assistantship/Scholarship) is available for
Ph.D. students.
Application form & Information brochure can be downloaded up to November 12, 2014.
LAST DATE FOR RECEIPT OF COMPLETED APPLICATION FORM: November 17,
2014.
The application fee is Rs.400 for General and OBC candidates and Rs.200 for SC/ST
candidates and all PD candidates (including General and OBC). The fee must be paid through a
demand draft payable to The Registrar, IIT Kanpur payable at Kanpur.
PhD applicants must submit two letters of reference as well. The Reference forms can be
downloaded from the link.
