Voxpop Analysis

The first question we asked was what is your favourite genre of film? and the 4 responses we got
was different. The first person we asked who was 30 year old female said that her favourite genre of
film was comedy. We then asked a 70 year old female who said her favourite genre of film was
prison film. We also asked a 16 year old male who said his favourite genre was action. The last
person we asked was a 35 year old male who said his favourite genre was Sci-fi.
We then asked what was there favourite film from the genre they said was there favourite so the
person who said Sci-fi was there favourite said star wars. The person who said action said the
expendables. The person who said prison film said there favourite said there favourite film from that
genre was green mile. Finally the person who said comedy said her favourite film from that genre
was along came Polly.
The next question we asked was who your favourite actors from them genres are so the person who
said comedy said Jenifer Aniston and Vince Vaughn. The person who said prison film said her
favourite actor from that genre is Tom Hanks. The person who said Sci-fi said there favourite actor
from that genre is Captain Kurk. Finally the person who said action said Arnold Schwarzenegger.
The final question we asked was do you like Sci-fi films. All the 4 people we asked said yes they do
like Sci-fi films.
Overall we learned that that and gender and age can like Sci-fi films however the male gender would
normally be interested in more of the action, Sci-fi films which are more fast paste. The female
gender prefers more sower films like a comedy which does not involve all the action fighting scenes.
The actors which they said they like are well known and very talented at what they do. The films
from the genre which they said are there favourites are all well-known and have good stories to
them.
In my opening sequence I now know that I will need to get talented actors in so that audience
connects to them. I will need to make sure that it has something original to it so that it stands out
compared to other Sci-fi films.
