Speaker: John K. Lawn, VP of Operations at Hershey
Bio: John was named Vice President of Operations in
November 2010, having previously served as Associate
Vice President of Operations and other leadership
positions in the Entertainment division, including
Director of Food and Beverage and Assistant General
Manager of Hershey Park. John is a graduate of
Randolph-Macon College, and before joining HE&R,
worked with clients at Yankee Stadium, FedEx Field, and
the Mens US Open Championships, among other
sporting venues and premier hospitality events
throughout the country.

Location: Castilian Room at Hotel Hershey


Activity: Chocolate Challenge with the
following components:
CSI Chocolate: Its time to treat your
sweet tooth and test your taste buds with
our unique CSI Chocolate Taste Test
competition. Each group gets to taste ten
different types of familiar childhood
favorites can you guess what they are
without looking at them? Whose taste buds
will reign supreme? Thats not all. In our
Chocolate Sight Investigation (CSI) weve
dissected chocolate bars. Can you correctly
sleuth out what kind it is?
Towering Chocolate: Youve got chocolate and youve got the brains, creativity and
project management skills now its time to put your skills to the test and see how high
you can build a freestanding chocolate tower.
Bridge over Chocolate Water: Willy Wonka has retired and Charlies factory is in
big trouble. Charlie knows he has the most popular and powerful chocolate factory in
the world, but he needs your help to get his chocolate to market. Enter a world of pure
imagination as you design, build and pitch a "scrumdiddlyumptious" bridge made of
chocolate that will transport the latest Wonka candy sensation! In this team building
activity, the emphasis can either be competitive (just for fun) or collaborative (big
picture thinking) depending on your groups goals. Lots of room for customization.

Transportation: Elite Motor
Coach Bus

Activity:
The Highlights Tour: A
professionally guided tour to explore
the heritage and horticulture of
Hershey Gardens from when it began
in 1937 to today.
(60 minutes)
There will then be an hour of free
time to explore all 11 distinct themed gardens such as the Historic Hershey Rose
Garden, Perennial Garden and Japanese Garden!

Tea Time: An hour of relaxing down time


after exploring the gardens for the spouses to
get to know one another. Food menu includes
chocolate scones, chocolate fountain and
sandwich trio.

Reception and Dinner

Venue Location: Antique Automobile Club of America Museum

Reception: Main Gallery for passed cocktails and Hor doeuvres with an
automobile expert standing by for any questions about the automobiles!

Dinner: Located at the Lower Level Gallery and Ballroom


Theme: Through the Decades
Menu Offerings: Cocoa Crisp Bacon Hor doeuvres, Coffee encrusted Filet
Mignon, Tiramisu and more!

Centerpieces: Along with the tall elegant floral arrangements there will be
various old fashioned collectible cars on the center of the tables. There will
also be rustic name license plates at each seat.

Entertainment: Swing dancers and


a DJ playing background music
through the decades, along with an MC
from the museum to discuss the history
of automobiles, especially the ones
housed at the museum.

Transportation: Elite Motor Coach Busses to each activity


Activity:
10:30am - 11:45am: The Hershey Story Museum Experience
o Located in the heart of Chocolate Town, USA this world-class museum tour
will guide the group on an inspirational journey through Milton S.
Hersheys lifetime and beyond. There will be time given for the group to
visit the gift shop as well!

12:00pm - 2:00pm: Lunch at Houlihans (reserved section)


2:15pm - 3:30pm: Trolley Tour (multiple trolleys for everyone)
o This memorable excursion delivers good old-fashioned fun as singing
trolley conductors take the group on a ride through Chocolate Town, USA
with chocolate tasting, sightseeing, and historical entertainment.

6:30 pm- 9:30 pm

Closing Event Featuring

Location: Dinner on the Veranda outside of the Starlight Ballroom
