What We Are Learning

Important Dates

In reading we will be reviewing the standard

related to character change. We will review stories
we read earlier in the year and discuss how the
characters changed from the beginning of the
stories to the end.

November 25 - Grandparents Day (A-M)

In math we will begin working on addition and

subtraction strategies. We will be learning about
different strategies until we leave for winter
break.

December 19 - Holiday party

In writing, we will finish up our informational writing

piece on plants. The students have been working
hard to write a five paragraph paper on three
interesting facts they learned about plants.
In social studies we will learn how cultures around
the world celebrate the harvest and compare that
to our traditions here in the United States.

Reminder
PTA would like to invite all grandparents to our
annual Grandparents Day Celebration. The students
have a special performance planned and, as always,
there will be time to share a pastry with your
grandchild.
Last name A-L will attend on Tuesday, November 25.
Last name M-Z will attend on Wednesday, November
26.

December 1 - Field Trip to Planetarium
