USING TECHNOLOGY AS A TEACHING TOOL Directions: Only complete this section if you are integrating technology into either or both lessons. What technology tool(s) did you utilize in planning What technology tool(s) are students utilizing during your lesson and/or what technology tool(s) did you the lesson to advance his/her individual learning? use as an instructional strategy during the lesson (Technology Task 3 only) itself? (Technology Tasks 1 and/or 2) I used google documents to collaborate on the planning of the lesson with my Kindergarten professional learning community. I also accessed YouTube videos to show students how a Tarantula molts and how Garden Spiders use their spinnerets to catch their prey. If students are going to be using the internet, how are you addressing the issues of privacy, security and safety? (Technology Task 3 only)
If your students are going to be using technology
during the lesson, what pre-requisite skills do they need to possess and how have those skills been taught or addressed? (Technology Task 3 only)
On what did you base your choice of technology
tools?
Considering each focus students strengths and
challenges, how are you adapting technology to meet his/her individual needs? (Task #3 only)
(This question applies to Technology Tasks 1, 2 & 3)
Google Docs is a convenient way to remotely
collaborate on curriculum design in highly likely event that we are unable to finish planning during our PLC time. I based my introduction of YouTube videos on what students wanted to learn about in the KWL chart.
