Any
assignment where I am writing my feelings and thoughts on a particular subject helps me develop my
abilities to express my ideas in an articulate well-written manner. Learning how to communicate
effectively isnt something limited to community college, but is a life skill needed to be successful in the
real world
The second SLCC learning outcome that this class helped me with was to develop quantitative literacy
needed for my chosen field of study. As a political science major anything involving governments is
important. Economic decisions are some of the most important for a government, and writing about
free markets is a big economic decision that governments have to make. As an avid supporter of free
markets it was great being able to explore the idea further and the political implications that they have
on a society.
