Test System Software Developer, 4 month Co-op,

Working with the Touch Panel Development team, the successful candidate will
aid in the research, development, and verification of next generation touch panel
technology for future BlackBerry devices. This role will have a strong focus on
developing the software required to bring-up prototype hardware, test systems,
and data collection/analysis tools. You will gain knowledge and experience in
touch panel performance characterization, hardware/software integration, test
system debugging, and optical measurements. Additionally, this role may include
participation in other related projects.
Skills & Qualifications:
Currently enrolled in Software, Computer, Systems or Electrical Engineering,
Physics, or Computer Science at the Intermediate or Senior level with the Co-op
option
Strong experience in programming in C#, C/C++, and/or Python
Ability to organize, present and communicate data effectively using Microsoft
Excel and PowerPoint
Passion for technology and innovation
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work independently Additional Asset:
Experience in embedded development and hardware/software integration
Experience in reading schematics and performing electrical measurements using
multimeters and oscilloscopes
Experience with multi-threaded GUI design
Experience in robotics
Experience in test automation and scripting
Experience with I2C and SPI communication protocols
Knowledge of / experience in optical measurements
Experience with version control software (Git, Perforce)
