General feedback/class needs:

Most of you could clearly answer the multiple choice questions to identify the various input and
output devices. Be careful, though, you should be aiming for 100% on these questions have you
ever seen a touch pad with a lid, for example? No, it was a scanner!! So check the pictures carefully
and THINK about your answer.
Most people failed to tell the difference between a dot matrix/Laser printer and a plotter. This is
essential knowledge and the websites you used contained pictures so this shouldnt have been new
to you again, easy marks that we cant afford to lose.
The biggest problem, however, comes with the last three questions. It was genuinely appalling how
badly people did on the last question. Why so bad? You did this question in class. In fact, you spent
almost 30 minutes going over it, you had the perfect answer, the structure to write your answer in
and all the information you needed this CLEARLY showed most of you cant be bothered to revise.
This isnt acceptable. Worse, some people just didnt bother to write anything in the written
questions this also is unacceptable and those people regardless of their performance in this test
will be attending the retake.
Your personal targets:
1.

To ensure I always read the question carefully and double check that my answer is relevant
to the question.
2. To learn the definition of optical storage and be able to give examples of media.
3. To revise effectively for each test not just reading notes, but doing practise questions from
lessons or from the websites provided to me by my teacher.

Challenge/Extension
You will have been allocated an exam question to further your knowledge or help you to overcome a
misconception. Copy out the question here in full and answer it.

Laser printer advantage is it has fast output, relatively quiet , cheap to buy compared to dot matrix.
A disadvantage for a laser printer the costs to run a laser printer is more expensive than a dot
matrix.
A advantage for laser printer is that it has fast output , it is relatively quiet and it is cheap to buy.
