Visual acuity

Fine motor skills involve the small muscles of the body that enable such functions
as writing, grasping small objects, and fastening clothing. They involve strength,
fine motor control, and dexterity. It usually involving the synchronization of hands and
fingerswith the eyes.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

To be successful, dentists and dental hygienists must demonstrate cognitive skills in critical and
logical/analytical thinking. Dentists and dental hygienists must possess and demonstrate psychomotor
skills (fine motor dexterity and coordination) and observational skills (vision, hearing and tactile
abilities) sufficient to master the clinical procedures essential in the treatment of dental disease.

We have chosen chef and school psychologist as our jobs choices. There are several things that are
helpful to being a good chef is to be good at hand eye coordination, physical strength, standing for long
durations, and quick thinking. Females seem to have a general higher fine motor score average than

males where they have a mean of 20.17273 compared to males with 16.73788. This means that females
can multi-task easier, with better hand eye coordination. Being a chef also requires standing on their feet
for many hours at a time with only a few breaks in between. This requires the person to be healthy and
women average a healthier weight with a BMI of 23.77212 while there are more overweight averaging
28.09333. Women also has naturally often been cooks for their families for many decades. A school
psychologist requires a different set of skills involving emotional connection, good note-taking skills,
listening, and patient memory skills. A female often times do have a more emotional connection due to
the motherly instinct that most women are born with innately. Good note-taking skills while listening to the
patient also takes fine motor skills with women leading averaging 20.17273 leading to males with only
16.73788. They also lead with spatial memory which helps in relation to remembering things that patients
tell you including what they've said by where they've said it. Mothers are often psychologists in everyday
life for their children and other family members.
