This Week
This week we are reading Unit 3 Week 1 Pearl and
Wagner
Remember the ginger bread building day. If
you would like to participate go to the link I sent from
signupgenius.com.
Please send the Thanksgiving break graphic
organizer back so that we can get started on writing
their personal narrative for their Young Authors book.
For an example on how to fill it out, please go to the
Young Authors tab on my home page under Parent and
Student Resources.
On the 19th of December, we will be having hot
chocolate and cupcakes. On that day we would also like
to have a book gift exchange. If you would please send
in a new book that is gift-wrapped, then each child can
participate in the exchange and receive the gift of
literacy. The children have really enjoyed this gift exchange in years past! You are welcome to send in the
gift wrapped book anytime between now and the 19th
of December. Just an FYI, last year parents bought
pop up books which are VERY popular with second
graders. I often buy them used but in new condition on Amazon for 6-10 dollars. If participating in the
book exchange will be a hardship please let me know
and I will be happy to supply a book for you, I only ask
that you give me an early notice so that I can order
from Amazon.
