Salem State University is investing $30 million in a new residence hall this year in
order to increase residency among students. This project is part of a larger
university initiative to foster a new reputation for state universities as an affordable,

Viking Hall is the second new dorm on campus in the last five years and will
accompany other improvements like the new library and the renovated fitness
