b. The students are listed in alphabetical order on the chart above. Eleven
students did not answer the pre-assessment questions correct or did not
raise their hand to answer. Eight of those eleven students met the objective
by the end of the lesson. Thirteen students answered or agreed with the
correct answer in the pre-assessment. All thirteen of those students met the
objective as well. There were eight students that made significant progress
through this lesson.

c. The data from this table shows that twenty-one out of the twenty-four
students met the objective. The shared reading and post-assessment activity
benefitted almost all of the students; especially the eight students that made
the most progress. There were three students that did not meet the objective;
therefore, they must not have understood or taken anything away from the
activities during the lesson.
B. Individuals
a. I will be able to see what strategies did or did not work for particular
students when I analyze the data from the low, average, and high performing
students. This data will help me meet the needs of all students because I will
develop a lesson to teach to all skill levels.
b. Quantitative:
i. Low: This student was called on once to answer one of the preassessment questions, and he answered incorrectly. For the duringassessment, he came up and pointed out two answers throughout the
book and he answered the questions with 50% accuracy. By the end of
the lesson, he met the objective with 96% accuracy.
ii. Average: This student was called on once to answer one of the preassessment questions, and she answered correctly. For the duringassessment, she came up and answered one of the questions incorrectly.
By the end of the lesson, she met the objective with 100% accuracy.
iii. High: This student was called on once to answer one of the preassessment questions, and she answered correctly. For the duringassessment, she came up twice and answered with 100% accuracy. By the
end of the lesson, she met the objective with 100% accuracy.
Qualitative:
i.
Low: This student seemed a little discouraged from the lesson at the
beginning because he did not know any of the questions. Once he got
one of the during-assessment questions correct, he quickly became
engaged. He participated fully in the during- and post-assessment. He
showed substantial progress by the end of the lesson.
ii. Average: This student had a hard time focusing on the lesson while
sitting on the carpet. She participated most of the time when I asked
questions and she completed her post-assessment activity quickly.
iii. High: This student participated fully throughout the lesson and
maintained a positive and focused attitude. She answered all of the
questions correctly and corrected students when they got the answers
incorrect.
