Activate background knowledge: Identifying the students needs by reading
their IEPs, researching their abilities by administrating assessments, and ensure their accommodations is being utilized will provide me with the information to tailor their learning styles. In order for students to retrieve new information it must be understood and applied with strategic integration. A combination of what the students already know, and understands will assist in developing and increasing their skills/knowledge. Conspicuous strategies the information communicated to the students must be clear and precise, Instruction on what to do before and after the lessons is given. For example I do, We do, and You do. Mediated scaffolding strategies to assist students in acquiring knowledge learned to become more independent. When students demonstrate improvement the scaffolding will change according to their needs. Judicious review: providing quality instruction, engaging ways to provide
continuous practice and reviewing will allow students to increase their ability in learning.
