Etiology

Taenia saginata

Spreading
Eating half done meat that contains
Cysticercus bovis

Clinical symptoms

Adult worms impaired in human


GIT impaired the length of the worm in
intestine
End of incubation period : diarrhea & hunger
Weight loss, nausea, vomit after eating,
colic & symptoms such as gastric ulcer / bile
duct disease is not rare

Diagnosis

Eggs difficult to differentiate from


Taenia solium eggs
Excretion of proglottid everyday
helping diagnosis

Treatment

Same as Taenia solium

Prevention
1. Personal hygiene
2. Spreading explanation
Eating half done meat that
contains cysticercus bovis
