Feasts and Fun

Bring on the merriment! Even though the stores are touting after Christmas sales
and decorations are coming down just because its January, we as Catholics arent
done with Christmas just yet.Remember, we have 12 days of Christmas!
The month of January is dedicated
to the Most Holy Name of Jesus.

Building on last years huge success, we are looking
forward to a fantastic week again this year.
The school and PTO have lots of exciting activities
planned for everyone, but we still need your help to
make all these fun events happen.

January Highlights

6 Epiphany of the LordThis day is

celebrated as the day the Magi arrived to


present gifts to the child Jesus. So dont put
those Three Kings figures in the manger on
Christmas Day! That is when they start
traveling from the other end of your house,
making their way to your manger on Jan. 6th.

11 Baptism of the LordThis day brings to


an end our Christmas season. To honor this
day, light your childrens baptismal candles.

21 St. AgnesPatron of the Children of

Mary. Only 13 years old when this beautiful


Roman girl was martyred for her purity.

24 St. Francis De SalesPatron saint of


writers. St. Francis wrote several books and
many letters (considered the first form of
leaflets) to those he directed. Heres an idea-Reach out to a friend or relative who may need
an encouraging word with a real pen & paper
letter. No email.

31 St. John BoscoPatron saint of boys,

March for LifeWashington DC
Every year busloads of supporters get together all over
the country and travel to DC to March for Life. Last
years estimated attendance was the largest yet, with
between 250,000-400,000 marchers.
The Diocese of Providence is organizing their annual
family bus trip. Anyone interested in going may go to
www.dioceseofprovidence.org for more info or contact
