To whom it may concern,
My name is Alejandro Castaneda and I am currently working on a Bachelor of Science for Nutrition and Dietetics at University of North Florida. My projected graduation date is May 2015, after which I will be studying to receive the RDT certification. My professor Mrs. Shank brought it up to me and I was ecstatic to find out that this was an option after I graduate in order to gain experience in the clinical field of nutrition. Internships are a little bit out of my price range and I feel that I have the skills and knowledge to apply myself in a clinical setting as an RDT. My knowledge of food safety and food science principles, along with organization and ability to work with others makes me a good candidate to become a Registered Dietitian Technician. As an RDT I would assist Registered Dieticians and become familiar with their roles in a clinical setting. This will provide the experience I need to step into a dietetic internship after a year or two of work experience. In my resume that follows, my previous job responsibilities are further outlined. The skills and work ethic I have developed from having those responsibilities are directly applicable to the roles of a Registered Dietician Technician. I would like to thank you again for taking time out of your schedule to consider me as a candidate for taking your RDT exam. It would be a privilege to work as an RDT in the clinical setting and uphold the prestigious reputation the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics has established. You may contact me by phone at 904-708-0088 or by email at n00662052@ospreys.unf.edu. I look forward to a personal interview where we can further discuss what I can offer to the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. Sincerely,
