The Storyline:
The story starts off with the main character sat in a police interview room, being
questioned for an crime that even the character is not sure if they have
committed (they are a sufferer of Dissociative Personality Disorder). The police
officer tells them what they are being questioned for and they begin to have
flashbacks of parts of the crime that was committed, and the scenes jump from
the interview room back to the scene of the crime as the police officer describes
what they are being convicted for. (The inclusion of flashbacks in my film makes
it lean towards a postmodern genre.) The main character begins to notice things
that their other personality would do as the officer continues to tell the story,
and it starts to become clear to them that technically it was them that committed
the crime. My film takes into account a number of theorists, for example the main
character has 2 binary opposite personalities (Levi-Strauss), one who is
innocent, nave and would not have committed a crime, and one who is evil and
will do anything to get into trouble.
