Bus de-regulation has failed bus users who have paid ever rising fares in return for an ever diminishing service. It’s also failed those that have lost their local service, and it's failed the environment by pushing more and ‘more people into car ownership. While Iacknowledge that these proposals will involve some additional spending, we can't expect a good service on the cheap and a well-funded, regulated bus service would bring broader economic benefits to local communities. oan Murdo, ne
