In middle school, I used to handwrite journal entries every day.

I became so busy and wrapped

up in life that by the time I got to high school, my enjoyment in journaling was long forgotten about.
Writing daily journals in UWRT this semester has rekindled my love for journaling. Keeping up with a
journal to record your daily emotions and events is a very healthy way to exert stress and anxiety. I
often feel very anxious, but journaling helps me calmly get all of my feelings out with no one around to
judge me. I love how with journaling youre completely free to whatever boundaries you give yourself:
you can write about anything or anyone without the world knowing.
I was overall surprised reading back through my journal entries throughout this semester. When
our professor gave us ten minutes at the beginning of class to write, my sentences often had many
grammatical errors and poor sentence structure. Being able to sit down and relax with plenty of time to
revise my journals definitely helped improve my original writing flaws. I hope to continue the habit of
journaling better this time around, for I really do enjoy the freedom and the calm way of expressing
myself.
