Horses And Ponies
One difference is horses grow to be taller then
ponies.
Horses are usually 14.2 hands and over.
Ponies are about 14.2 and under.

Pony Differences
Ponies are stocky and more tolerant to cold
weather.
Ponies are also smarter so they are more
stubborn.
They also have thicker mains and fur.
Ponies come in three different sizes large,
medium and small.

Horse Differences
Horses are taller then ponies.
Horses are divided into three different groups:
hot bloods witch are usually race horses, cold
bloods witch are draft horses used for heavy
work and warm bloods a mix between hot and
cold bloods they are mainly used for shows and
jumping.

Horse Benefits
Horses where born with a good sense of
balance.
They also have a body built for running so
they are very fast.
Since they can grow so tall they can jump very
high.

Pony Benefits
Ponies are good for teaching lessons and for
competitions.
Since ponies are smaller they are good for
children and beginners.

Other Facts
Horses and ponies can sleep standing up or
lying down
horses life span is between 25 to 30 years
Girl horses are called mares
