St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital

was founded in 1962 by Danny
Thomas. Its mission is to find cures
for children with cancer and other
catastrophic diseases through
research and treatment. The daily
operating cost for St. Jude is nearly
$2 million.
St. Jude is the only pediatric cancer
research center where families never
pay for treatment not covered by
insurance. No child is ever denied
treatment because of the familys
inability to pay. No family ever pays
St. Jude for anything.

Donations made to Up til Dawn and other

contributions to St. Jude fundraising efforts
cover the operating cost of hospital.

Last year, Up til
Dawn raised over
$143,000 for the
kids of St. Jude. This
year, the goal is to
raise over $200,000.

We need your help!

Up 'til Dawn was started here at the University of Memphis 16 years
ago. Up 'til Dawn unites students, staff and their local communities
with a goal to help the children of St. Jude. Students who lead Up 'til
Dawn on their campuses educate the community about St. Jude while
raising money through a variety of activities. At the end of the
program, campuses host a Finale Event and stay "Up 'til Dawn"
celebrating their achievements and honoring the patients at St. Jude.
Individuals or teams work together all year long to raise money, and
with the help of their team leaders, morale captains, and executive
board members, they are sure to have fun doing so!

Events include:
Kickoff, Honors Student Councils Kickball Tournament, Letter Sending
Party, Sigma Phi Epsilons Haunted House, Eighth Annual Tony Yeargin
Fundraising Dinner and Silent Auction, Field Day, Polar Plunge, All I Want
for Christmas Is A Cure, Sigma Chis Strike Out Cancer, Alpha Gamma
Deltas Share the Love to Find a Cure, and many more!
