Positioning is the act of designing the companys offering and image to occupy a distinctive place in the

mind of the target market. The end result of positioning is the successful creation of customer focused
value proposition, a cogent reason why the target market should buy the product.
Positioning Strategy
In order to draw an attractive and strong image of Cerelac in the mind of mother and other family
members for their new born babies and growing babies, it is also essential for Nestle to design its
positioning strategy. As this product is developed for the effective growth of infants (0-5 years) the
position strategy should be based on their health. Thus, the positioning statement of nestle "Good food
Good life" is very attractive to persuade the behavior of women to give best diet to their babies. On the
other hand, "best start to a healthier future" also shows that Cerelac is very healthy for healthier growth of
children at initial stage of life (mainly from 0 month to 18 months).
From whom must we win this position?
Thus, as per the above explanation, Cerelac is made for infants and company should target mothers to
increase sales of the company
