Draw 5 lines from one side of the paper to

the other with marker.

In one section and make a drawing for

LINE.

In one section and make a drawing for

SHAPE.

In one section and make a drawing for

SPACE.

In one section and make a drawing for

VALUE. This one also will not show VALUE
until color is added.

In one section and make a drawing for

COLOR. There are a lot of options for
drawing in this section, since the actual
COLOR will not be added until later.

Leave one section empty for VALUE.

Using Crayon, color in some but not all of

the areas.

Start adding watercolor to each section.

TEXTURE
There are many ways to add texture.
One way is to use crayons to make a
texture rubbing. Then paint over it
with watercolor.

Another way to add texture is to paint the

area with a solid color. Once it is dried,
add a little paint to a dry brush and rub or
brush it on over the other color.
