Anticipating and Planning for Challenges:

Not enough sunlight coming through the window, we could try having them outside
on the playground during the school day.

Activity Procedure/Concept Exploration:

In this activity, the students will start by planting their seed in a pot with soil. We will then
set the pots by the windows so they can receive sunlight. Each day, students will water
their plants. I plan to do this is groups so each day a different student will water the plant.
Students will observe the growth of the plant daily. Throughout the month, students will
learn more about plants and how they grow. If we are using a vegetable seed, children will
be taught the nutritional benefit of not only eating healthy but growing your own veggies.
