Final Reflection
Now that the semester is over, I can see what Im taking away from this class.
Looking back Ive really enjoyed how much Ive learned from this class. Its very unique. In
high school, each teacher had their own way of telling us how to write a paper. However, no
matter how much they said their way was different, they were all basically the same. They would
give us the prompt, drag us to the library and told us when the paper was due. Up until now, that
was the only process I saw. I now know of a different and more unique method of writing. The
pre writing and proposal steps really helped me to make a decision on what direction I wanted to
take my paper. When I start a paper, I almost often have writers block. With the proposal and
pre writing, I was able to decide want I wanted to write my paper on, and how it should be
written. When it came time to start a draft, it just came naturally. The combination of the steps I
had taken in this class leading up to the drafty, and the research I did allowed me to create a well
written paper. Another thing this class helped me with is learning how to work with a group.
Even though we had very different topics, our group was able to provide helpful feedback based
on the process of writing papers in this class, which allowed me to help improve my paper in
ways I couldnt see myself. Overall, this class was very helpful for working with a group,
improving my knowledge on the MLA format, and writing papers in general.
