Alan Maley
Alan has been involved in ELT for over 50 years.
He has published over 40 books and numerous
articles. His main interests are in creative
methodology and materials, especially creative
writing, drama and voice, and in the dynamics of
the classroom. He is a past president of IATEFL,
IATEFL Ambassador, and a founder member of
the Extensive Reading Foundation and of the C
group (Creativity for Change in Education.)

Putting Creativity into Writing.

This will be a practical, hands-on workshop. We
shall explore together some simple but effective
writing activities to produce short poems and
stories. There will be time for feedback discussion
throughout the session, and for sharing the writing
produced. Towards the end of the session we shall
discuss the value of such activities for promoting
language learning, stimulating motivation,
enhancing self-esteem, promoting autonomy and
personal development and forging a learning
community.
