math homework to school

minutes each night. A
reading log is attached.
We Are Busy Bees
A few students have been bringing in Buzzbees that they are
earning from home. This is a great message that the Behavior
Expectations (Be safe, Be engaged, Be respectful, Be
responsible and Be compassionate) and the Learner Profile are
not just expected at school but at home and in the community
as well. I have attached more copies of the Buzzbees and will
continue to do so. I am also stressing the importance that the
students should be working hard not just for Buzzbees but
because it is the right thing to do. The Buzzbees are a way for
recognition of their great efforts. Thank you for all your
support.

Color My World
The students are having a blast discovering the colors that make up the world around
them. Our main goal this week was to start noticing the different colors around us.
We learned (reviewed) the role of the primary colors, and color blending. We
experimented by mixing watercolors and discussed our results. We also began to
integrate color and writing by starting poetry. We are learning that color can be used
to express emotions.
