First I would like to thank you on behalf of City Year, Inc., as well as the students of the East
Baton Rouge Parish School District for Microsofts sponsorship of Donate a Laptop, Give a
Laptop.
The Donate a Laptop, Give a Laptop initiative proved to be successful; we received 147 donated
computers. This figure surpassed our initial goal of 100 computers, and allows us to provide
more resources to more students.
As per our agreement with the participating schools, we will host an event presenting the donated
computers, and I want to extend an invitation to your team to be a part of this event. For without
Microsofts pledge, we would not be in a position to supply these laptops. I am more than willing
to accommodate any logistically provisions, as the event will take place in the coming weeks.
Again, I would like to extend gratitude on behalf of City Year Inc. for Microsofts commitment
to ensuring that each child has the resources to compete with his/her peers.
